Ninth Moon Black’s album brings a taste of aggression that the instrumental genre is so often deprived of.  Despite broken into five long tracks, the album is fast-paced and its 40-some minute length passes quickly, as it is indeed a fun listen. (read more)

Forgotten Empire Records has announced plans to release a new full-length album from Across Tundras late this summer. Across Tundras has previously released material with Crucial Blast Records, Saw Her Ghost Records, and Feeling Faint Productions. Forgotten Empire comments:

"We are very excited to be working with them on their new and currently untitled record. The recording is being finished up as we speak just west of the Continental Divide in the heart of the Rocky Mountains."

We are happy to announce the signing of indie/rock giant's Slacks (this band freakin rocks) and hardcore/grind band Mia Hope to our roster.  Slacks have released material on Translation loss records and we couldn't be happier that we will be releasing their new yet untitled album.  Also we will be releasing the new ep from Mia Hope in the near future, we'll keep you posted!  We will also be updating our myspace player with all new songs in the coming days, so keep your ears peeled for that.......

Well, with a more than productive 2007 all but behind us, all of us at Forgotten Empire Records are geared up and ready for a BIG 2008!!!!  In 2007 we released 13 albums and we are starting off 2008 with the release of Albino beach's debut ep, Swallow The Ocean's debut ep and The Cargo Cult Revival's re-release of their debut ep! We are very happy to announce all the Forgotten Empire titles past and present will be available through our new distributor Stickfigure Distribution out of Atlanta, GA. Starting late Feb our titles will be available at Amazon.com and many, many one stops across the country and Europe!!  This means it will be easier to purchase our titles!  There will be some big changes coming soon to Forgotten Empire that we are all excited about.  Stay tuned!!!  And thanks for the continued support!

We are very happy to announce we will be releasing Day Without Dawn's final album under there current name.  Formerly the "Postman Syndrome" and having released an album through Now or Never Records in 2002, Day Without Dawn is a great example of what complex writing and outstanding muscianship can create.  The band will undergo some more changes in 2008 when they change their name to "Biclops" with a semi new line-up.  In March they will head out on a long nationwide tour in support of the new band.  Expect a release date of late Feb. in time for the tour.

Forgotten Empire Records is proud to announce the signing of progressive experimental rock band The Cargo Cult Revival.  Having already recorded and released one ep on TIOS Records earlier this year, the band is hard at work on their debut full length album "Snakecharmer".  Featuring the (words can't describe) epic as fuck 39 minute track "Snakecharmer", plus 3  more amazing songs to complete the album.  A release date has been set for Feb. 26th 2008.  The Cargo Cult Revival consist of a guitar player, bass player, drummer and cello.  Need I say more! This is a crazy month for releases for us, and very busy! Next month we will be releasing Forgotten Empire volume 1: From The Edge Of Earth , our first compilation cd featuring all of our artist! Then things calm down for a little bit before we release The Comanche Sigh's debut full length "The Black Zodiac" and Blackwaves TBA full length!! For the time being our releases will be available through interpunk.com, bigcartel.com, and through our website. We do have alot in the works for nationwide distribution we have been furiously working on the last few weeks. News, News.... First off we are pleased to announce the addition of three new and amzing bands to Forgotten Empire!! A couple of weeks ago we signed Germany's Blacwaves, The U.K's Fire On The Horizon!! Last week we signed Ninth Moon Black from Portland, O.R.! All three bands are an amazing addition to our roster. We will have release info soon on these bands and more. We are also getting ready to put out our first Forgotten Empire compilation cd later this summer! Forgotten Empire volume 1: From The Edge Of Earth , will showcase a song from each one of our bands, some unreleased, and some from upcoming albums, all in all about 14 total songs on 2 cd's at a very low price!! More news soon......

Also The Grasshopper Lies Heavy has returned from part 1 of their Texas tour with part 2 beginning next week. We have been getting great reviews of there performances thus far!
